Inside the building is in, even when the building is also a point. at the station means you have reached that place. in the station means you are inside it.

Common traps
in the table is wrong for an object resting on top. Use on the table. at India treats a country as a point. A country takes in. arrive in the station mixes the two rules. Reach the place: arrive at the station. Be inside it: be in the station.
